SAINT JOHN, NB – Saint John Airport Inc. is pleased to announce that Flair Airlines has selected Saint John as their exclusive New Brunswick destination.

The inaugural Flair Airlines flight from the Saint John Airport (YSJ) to Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) will be on June 25, 2020. This direct flight will mark the start of a new ultra-low cost option that will allow Saint John leisure travellers to fly to more places than ever before.

“We’re delighted that Flair Airlines has selected Saint John as their exclusive New Brunswick destination,” says YSJ President and CEO, Derrick Stanford. “We’re dedicated to finding Saint John travellers the best possible value and options, and with Flair’s unique pricing model almost anyone can afford to fly to experience a live Toronto Raptors or Blue Jays game, or visit the CN Tower.”

Flair’s unbundled approach keeps base fares consistently low and allows passengers to customize their flying experience. They offer a la carte options so passengers only pay for what they want: checked or carry-on luggage, seat selection, online check-in for cost savings, as well as food and beverage choices. Flair strips back every costly addition to help more people fly for less.

“Flair is thrilled to provide service to New Brunswick at Saint John. Residents of the area have been restricted by high airfares for too long and we believe it’s time for change,” says Sarah Riches, Flair Airlines, Director of Commercial. “We are committed to connecting Canadians with their family and friends across the country and are looking forward to bringing some “Flair” to the market in Saint John.”

Flair Airlines operates scheduled passenger services in Canada from its main hub at Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and offers excellent connectivity to Western Canadian destinations including: Vancouver, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg via Toronto. Other destinations include: Ottawa, Halifax, Charlottetown and Saint John.

The direct Saint John - Toronto flight will be offered 4-times per week and operated with a 156-seat Boeing 737-400 aircraft, among the world’s safest customer jets. If the service is well-used by Saint John travellers, more routes to Canadian and possibly U.S. cities may come.

Flights will be available for online booking on February 13, 2020 at flyflair.com for travel beginning June 25, 2020.
